I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have always been a passionate learner of anything and everything I can get my hands on ranging from Literature, Music, Cooking, Programming, Physics, and Math. Throughout my academic journey, the people who I have admired the most have been equally passionate and helped nurture my curiosity. I try to create the same experience for all of my students where I believe that by connecting with the student’s natural inclinations, targeted repetition of weaknesses, and through proper time management any student can learn anything!
I have gained over a year of experience as a peer tutor at Harry S. Truman College and a volunteer tutor at Truman Middle College which is a high school in Truman so I have tutored people from teens to adults. I prefer to work with an overall goal and plan in mind so I can customize my instruction to simultaneously prepare the student to fulfill class requirements. I am also very comfortable creating my own problems and examples which are easier to work through in order to build confidence up to the complex material. I can tutor over a wide range of topics such as Statics, Dynamics, Statistics, and Math ranging from Arithmetic to Calculus II. I also tutored through the COVID-19 pandemic so I have plenty of experience tutoring online as well.
My mission for my students is to find the same joy and passion for learning in the same way my teachers have done for me, or at least learn to hate math less, and to find success in the challenges they may be facing because the proper support can make all the difference so I am here to help! Even if you do not have a class but want to learn a new subject I am happy to help with that as well. I also welcome any suggestions and resources that will help you learn the best.
