I have studied mathematics and computer science for the past 5 years. During my studies at University of Illinois Chicago I have had the opportunity to partake in research and learn from exceptional professors in these fields. My fields of interest revolve around the intersection of mathematics and computing. This includes subjects such as Algebra, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Scientific Programming. I have over 5 years of C++ experience as well as 6 years of Python and 4 years of Java programming.
During my studies at UIC I have worked on many computer programming projects, one of which led me to win UIC Spark-hacks, our school’s collegiate hackathon in 2024, where I wrote back-end code for a database program used to store endangered languages.
My educational background consists of 3 years of undergraduate experience at UIC towards earning a bachelor’s of science in Mathematical Computer Science with a concentration in Algorithms and Theory. During the summer of 2024 I worked for UIC’s Youth Scholars program in which we introduced high school students to advanced mathematical topics such as Cryptography, Graph Theory, Probability, and Algorithms. During this time I helped guide students working through challenging math projects. I’ve also tutored many individuals through introductory college computer science courses. I enjoy watching students grow as they learn to grasp abstract topics and begin to have confidence in themselves and their abilities.
