I am a passionate ecologist with hands on experience in biology, genetics, and ecology from time spent working at the Field Museum, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Chicago Botanic Garden. I have a degree in biology from Loyola University Chicago (earned with honors) and have a unique combination of hands on experience and education.
I also have diverse experience educating Chicagoland communities as a part of Loyola, the Field Museum, and the Lincoln Park Zoo. I have experience working with high school volunteers on behalf of the Lincoln Park Zoo and the Field Museum. Furthermore, in high school I taught saxophone lessons to middle aged students and worked in mentoring programs for elementary aged students. I am very personable and work hard to create safe spaces for the students I tutor. Above all, I am an advocate students to learn material in their own method and at their own pace. I am always open to new teaching styles and love when a student has the opportunity to teach me something!
I live in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago and am willing to travel within 10 miles to accommodate you and your student. I am comfortable working in the student's home, online, or in any of Chicago's public libraries (a personal favorite space to learn!).
