Hi! I’m Alexander Nigro, a dedicated tutor with a B.A. in Political Science from Brown University (3.9 GPA) and a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. I’m passionate about helping students build strong analytical, writing, and research skills to reach their full academic potential.
With experience in research, teaching, and mentorship, I’ve worked across political science, public policy, and medical research. As a Research Project Coordinator and Policy Analyst, I’ve developed deep insights into critical thinking and data analysis—skills I bring into my tutoring sessions.
I specialize in premed coursework (Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biology, and Physics) and MCAT preparation, having scored in the 99th percentile. As a top student in Organic Chemistry, I understand its challenges and have guided many students to success. My approach focuses on conceptual understanding, efficient memorization techniques, and application-based learning, ensuring students excel in coursework and build a strong foundation for medical school.
Beyond academics, I have a strong background in education and mentorship, having taught and mentored students in after-school programs, international classrooms, and community organizations. While working in São Paulo, Brazil, I taught English to underserved students ages 12-18. I also coach high school students through the college admissions process, from crafting compelling essays to developing standout applications.
