I hold a BA in Theatre and English and an MA in Folk Studies, with a specialization in community healing through the arts. My educational background has provided me with a strong foundation in both the creative and academic aspects of theatre and writing. In addition to my formal education, I am passionate about using storytelling and creative expression to build confidence and communication skills, especially in students who may feel hesitant to speak or perform in front of others. As the co-founder of Theatre for Hope and Healing, I focus on using theatre as a therapeutic tool, and through Shakespeare for All Stages, I help students connect with the timeless works of Shakespeare in a supportive and inclusive environment.
I have extensive tutoring and teaching experience, including coaching students in acting, writing, and public speaking. Over the years, I have worked with individuals of all ages—from young students needing help with writing assignments to adults seeking to improve their presentation skills and public speaking abilities. My approach blends creative exercises with practical techniques, creating a supportive and empowering environment that allows students to express themselves confidently. I have led workshops in community settings, and I have provided one-on-one coaching, particularly focusing on confidence-building through storytelling, performance, and Shakespearean texts.
I have been teaching for several years, primarily in one-on-one settings but also in group environments. My work includes both volunteer and paid roles, where I’ve developed tailored lessons that focus on personal growth through the arts. Whether in the classroom, during private tutoring sessions, or in creative workshops, I strive to make learning enjoyable and accessible for each student.
