Hi! I'm Sarah, an experienced tutor who is thrilled to have the opportunity to guide you on your path towards MCAT success. I graduated from Northwestern University (4.0 GPA) and am currently a M1 at a top 15 medical school. In 2023, I scored a 526 MCAT score (100th percentile) with a 132 C/P, 131 CARS, 131 B/B, 132 P/S split after three months of studying.
Using my content knowledge, proven-effective strategies, and passion for helping others learn, I believe I can help guide you to success on the MCAT and your medical school. In college, I served as a tutor for general chemistry and biology for two years, and have worked with over 50 students on the MCAT this past year. It's safe to say that I know how to work with you to help achieve your potential!
As for my approach, I center my sessions on finding the right learning methods for you, which are suitable for your unique needs, and helping you become a more effective, confident student. Depending on your desires, I would be more than happy to help create the ideal MCAT study plan and schedule for you and share strategies and resources that may be useful. In addition, I find it effective to work through practice passages together to see what areas you could improve on (or do particularly well!). Although I do employ a more methods-based tutoring, I can definitely help you with challenging problems or concepts as well.
The MCAT is, without a doubt, incredibly daunting; however, I believe that anything is possible with a good strategy and enough grit. As a tutor, I hope to help you succeed in your academics and as a student; however, as a friend and someone who is just a few steps ahead on the same path, I hope to learn as much from you as you do from me and build a lasting connection with you!
