As an experienced mathematics educator with a strong background in intervention, curriculum development, and data-driven instruction, I am passionate about helping students build confidence and proficiency in math. With a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (GPA: 4.00) and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics & Adolescence Education (GPA: 3.94), I bring a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and effective teaching strategies to my tutoring sessions.
I have taught students from Grades 1-12 in various educational settings, including classroom instruction, small-group interventions, and one-on-one tutoring. My approach is student-centered, data-driven, and results-oriented. I tailor my methods to each learner’s needs, using engaging strategies to make math accessible and enjoyable. In my first year of teaching, 15 out of 16 students passed the Algebra I NJ state assessment, despite a statewide passing rate of only 41%. Additionally, my students have demonstrated the highest growth in standardized assessments in my Math Department several years of my career.
My tutoring philosophy focuses on building conceptual understanding while fostering problem-solving skills and a growth mindset. I emphasize breaking down complex topics into manageable steps and incorporating real-world applications to make learning relevant. Additionally, I communicate regularly with parents to provide insights into student progress and strategies for continued improvement.
With over six years of experience in education, I am dedicated to helping students overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals. Whether reinforcing foundational skills or preparing for advanced coursework, I strive to make math engaging, approachable, and rewarding for every learner.
