I have a decade of experience teaching English language and Reading and Writing skills. My teaching background spans multiple academic environments, age groups, and instructional formats. In general, I teach adults, but the primary age group I have taught has been at the traditional college ages 18-24.
My instructional methodology is rooted in CLT (Communicative Language Teaching) and TBLL (Task-Based Language Learning). I structure lessons around real-world application, critical thinking, and interactive problem-solving. In the first session, I will diagnose the learner's strengths and weaknesses and build a customized road map to improvement. I will use scaffolding techniques to break down grammatical concepts, essays and/or testing parameters into manageable, modular steps to ensure that the learner remains challenged without overwhelm. I look forward to bringing this research-backed instruction to the Wyzant platform.
