Hi, I'm Anne! I graduated with Highest Honors (GPA 3.86) with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, where I studied on a pre-med track. I always enjoyed learning and doing well in school, but this would not be possible without all the dedicated teachers and tutors I had to support me. Now, I am passionate about helping other students feel supported through personalized, one-on-one tutoring.
I excelled academically, both in high school and college, in many science courses, including General Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, and General Chemistry. I also love Psychology, and have taken numerous courses as part of my undergraduate degree. In high school, I performed well on my AP exams for AP Psychology, along with AP English Literature and Composition.
I was a nanny for many years, and have taught three individuals, ages ranging from 6-12, in many subjects, from math to vocabulary. In college, I volunteered for the Chemistry REACT Program, where I designed interactive lesson plans for elementary students to encourage interest in Chemistry. I would then travel to local schools and present these lessons to groups of 20-30 students. In my sorority, I was often the go-to tutor for other members in my classes that were struggling with course material. Throughout my work experiences, I have mentored 7 new hires until they are successfully trained and ready to work independently, which also attests to my teaching ability.
I care about creating a learning environment where students know they can ask questions without receiving judgment, and know we won't move on until they feel confident in the material. I am approachable, easy-going, and always welcome any resources or suggestions students or parents can provide. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
