Hello! I'm Lincoln Ross. I'm currently a first-year student at McGill University studying secondary English education. I've been a tutor now for a year and a half, specializing in AP tests but also general math, history, and English classes. During 2024-2025, I tutored both online and in the south side of Chicago at an afterschool program called Project Vision, where I learned how to tutor effectively and make connections with my students. Now, in university, I aim to help all my students learn and grow in as much of a stress free climate as possible.
In high school, I took six AP classes. I got a 5 in AP Literature, AP Human Geography, and AP US History; I also was able to get a 4 in AP Lang, AP European History, and AP Calculus. Writing, history, and Math are my most comfortable subjects to teach and I have lots of resources to use to get (or even exceed) my AP scores. I also graduated with a 3.75 GPA and a 4.7 weighted GPA.
For all of my students, I prioritize confidence and stress management as I've seen morale is the most important part to learning but also as someone who's been under a lot of stress before. In all of my students, I will always spend time asking about how I can help them relieve stress and never add more to their plates if it's unnecessary. Mental health is a priority for me.
