Excellent Tutor, Even Better Communicator of Economic Concepts
For anyone interested in learning more of intermediate or advanced microeconomics, macroeconomics, Luiz Felipe is a very bright, empathetic, and excellent communicator of economic concepts. He helped me learn essentials of several economic models for an upcoming exam and I really appreciated his patient style of teaching as well as his knowledge of economics. He uses real-life examples, makes abstract ideas more concrete, and relates material to the student's level of understanding. Whereas before a lesson, I feel I have a vague understanding of some concept, I feel like I understand economics on a more granular level with more confidence after one of Luiz's sessions. And that, I can say, is the best positive feedback I can give Luiz: whatever level of knowledge you have of economics, you will have an even better understanding after a session with him.

I needed help with a quantitative research class for my doctorate. The instructor was not helpful and the course material did not align to what we doing. I am extremely happy I found Luiz. From the beginning, he was able to answer and clearly explain all my questions. This included specific things from creating dummy variables and running a multiple linear regression. I would share my data analysis in excel with him and he would provide feedback as needed. Luiz provided handouts on academic writing when I asked if he had any suggestions. I met with him weekly for four weeks and finding a time to meet was always convenient. Luiz was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He helped to relieve the stress I had about the course. I highly recommend him for statistics and quantitative research.
