Approved Subjects

Biochemistry

Biochemistry

I offer a high-leverage approach to USMLE Biochemistry, focusing on the metabolic root causes and enzymatic pathways that are essential for Step 1 success. My sessions utilize clinical vignettes to bridge the gap between abstract biochemical cycles and high-yield board questions, ensuring students master Vitamins, Genetics, and Metabolic Disorders. I teach the specific mental models required to differentiate look-alike disease presentations and biochemical intermediates under exam pressure. I hold students to a high standard of active recall, transforming one of the most daunting subjects into a predictable source of points.
Biostatistics

Biostatistics

As a high-scoring medical student and experienced USMLE tutor, I specialize in simplifying complex biostatistical concepts like odds ratios, NNT, and power for Step 1 and Step 2. I have successfully guided numerous students through the nuances of research abstract questions and pharmaceutical ads, ensuring they can pick up every possible point in this high-yield section. My approach focuses on active recall and identifying the 'tricks' examiners use to disguise simple calculations.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I specialize in teaching USMLE Neuroscience with a focus on high-yield clinical localization and the structural "root causes" of neurological deficits. My approach moves beyond memorizing tracts to understanding the three-dimensional logic of the brainstem, spinal cord, and cortical regions, ensuring students can pinpoint lesions with surgical precision. I identify critical gaps in a student's understanding of complex systems like the basal ganglia loops and cranial nerve pathways, designing specific action plans to master the stroke syndromes and neurodegenerative pathologies that frequently appear on the boards. Having navigated the SJSM curriculum with a focus on execution and deep expertise, I hold students to the high standards of active recall required to excel in this notoriously difficult subject.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

I provide a high-leverage approach to USMLE Pharmacology, focusing on the systemic root causes of drug mechanisms rather than surface-level memorization. My sessions utilize clinical vignettes to bridge the gap between biochemical pathways and real-world board questions, ensuring students master autonomic drugs, antimicrobials, and cardiovascular agents. Having navigated the SJSM curriculum and USMLE boards successfully, I teach the specific mental models required to differentiate look-alike drug names and side-effect profiles under exam pressure. I hold students to a high standard of active recall, transforming one of the most daunting subjects into a predictable source of points.
Physiology

Physiology

I specialize in teaching USMLE Physiology by focusing on the underlying mechanical and electrical logic of the human body, moving students away from inefficient memorization toward a "first principles" approach. My methodology targets the highest-leverage points for Step 1 and Step 2, such as pressure-volume loops, pulmonary mechanics, and renal clearance, ensuring these become predictable wins on exam day. I identify the critical gaps in a student's ability to integrate multiple organ systems, designing specific action plans to master the complex feedback loops that frequently appear in clinical vignettes. Having navigated the SJSM curriculum with high standards of execution, I hold my students to the level of rigor required to excel on the boards and in clinical practice.
Psychology

Psychology

I provide a strategic, high-yield approach to USMLE Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, focusing on the diagnostic "root causes" that differentiate complex psychiatric presentations. My methodology moves beyond simple memorization to a deep understanding of the DSM-5 criteria, defense mechanisms, and the neurobiological basis of psychiatric disorders. I specialize in teaching psychopharmacology—transforming the daunting list of side effects and drug-drug interactions into a logical framework based on neurotransmitter pathways. Having successfully navigated the SJSM curriculum and USMLE boards, I hold students to the high standard of execution required to master the subtle nuances of ethics and patient communication questions that often determine a top score.
USMLE

USMLE

I have extensively prepared for Step 1, having reviewed Uworld three times, Amboss twice, and completed all NBMEs twice. I have gone over most resources that are particular to Step-prep including Sketchy Pharm and Micro, Picmonic, Pixorize, ANKI cards, First AID, Pathoma, Osmosis and others. The last term 5 NMBE score administered by my school before sitting for STEP 1 was 75, and I received a passing STEP 1 score as well.

Knowledgeable, skilled and impactful

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Dante to anyone looking for a USMLE tutor. Dante has been very accommodating, patient and helpful. I was struggling to pass my USMLE step 1. Being a mother of 2 kids I needed someone who could be flexible with the schedule. He made sure I was satisfied and provided me with skills to answer questions. I was able to do all questions in a timely manner. Before that I did have the knowledge but when it came to answering questions It was always out of time. I passed my step 1 2 months ago. I would recommend him whoever is looking for a skillful, knowledgeable, adaptable and a sincere tutor. Thank you Dante couldn’t have done it without you

Excellent Tutor Who Helped Me Pass Step 1

Dante was an excellent tutor who played a key role in helping me pass Step 1. He created a supportive environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and consistently taught effective test-taking strategies that made complex concepts much easier to understand. One thing I really appreciated was that he shared detailed notes after each session, allowing me to focus fully on learning instead of trying to write everything down. He also provided thoughtful feedback and practical advice tailored to my needs. It’s clear that he has extensive knowledge and experience, which really shows in the quality of his tutoring. I highly recommend him to anyone preparing for Step 1.
