Hi! I'm Max. I'm a graduate of the University of Chicago, where I majored in economics and minored in statistics. When I'm not tutoring, I work as a researcher with Lurie Children's Hospital and Northwestern University. Previously, I worked as a quantitative risk analyst for Voice of America.

With ten years of tutoring experience for students of all ages, I create a comfortable, enjoyable, and productive learning environment. I cater to a wide range of students, whether they're seeking to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom curriculum, need extra support in certain areas, or preparing to crush their next big exam. I effectively work with students who learn differently, helping them grasp concepts in various ways, stay motivated, and enrich their love for learning.

I'd also be happy to help you develop your piano skills. I'm also a concert pianist, and have been playing piano since I was 4 years old. I have performed in Paris, Prague, and Vienna, and also play for a local nursing home monthly. I have an extensive knowledge of music theory, and I've recently gotten more into composing and improvising. For 9 years, I've helped students with everything, from learning their first notes, to perfecting their Rachmaninoff concertos, and everywhere in between.
