Hi, I’m Gleb! I was born and raised in Eastern Europe in a mixed family with one parent from Belarus and another one from Australia, so Russian and English are my native languages. In high school, I became passionate about foreign languages even more, thanks the professors who made the classes more enjoyable. The teachers were always engaging and comprehensible when teaching the material in the classroom. So I try to bring this knowledge to my tutoring approach, and do everything I can to make learning a pleasant experience. My lesson plans typically involve introducing topics in a dynamic and imaginative manner, followed by clear instruction of the material. Subsequently, I allocate sample time for students to independently practice what they've learned. And of course, I have a personal approach to each of my students depending on the subject matter and their demands.
I have a year of experience teaching English in a private language school ‘Streamline’, back in Belarus. I had 6 small groups of 5-10 students. I also got a certificate in a French class that showcases that I have C1 level. After moving to United States, I started working online as a private English and French tutor. Additionally, I have been working as an assistant of a Russian language teacher in Loyola University for more than a year.
