With my Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chicago, I love helping high school and college students overcome their math and physics anxiety, improve their comprehension, and become more confident in their own abilities! I was a College instructor in Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Physics for 6 years. I have extensive experience tutoring the same subjects for more than 15 years. My teaching has helped many of my college students get over their math phobia and enroll in more advanced classes. Many of my high school students have achieved high scores on the standardized tests - AP Statistics, AP Calculus, AP Physics, ACT and SAT.

My problem-solving abilities are unusually high, and I excel at conceptual clarification. I do short reviews, which allow me to pinpoint the students' areas of weakness and focus on them. I have a talent for boiling down complex concepts to easy-to-understand explanations. I like to prompt the students to reach the solution almost by themselves. This gives them more confidence in their own abilities, which is essential for their success.

I also have 12 years of experience as a tutor for the Math/Quantitative sections of the ACT, SAT, GMAT, GRE, and the Physics part of the GMAT. The best indication of my expertise are my maximal scores on GRE (math section) and GRE Physics. I can teach you the best books to use for preparation and the most effective strategies to improve your scores significantly. Many of my students have passed the standardized tests with high scores and continued with their education or career.
