Hello! My name is Daniel I am a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I have received my Bachelor's degree in Economics from the department of Liberal Arts and Sciences. I am a National Honor Society member as well as having been on the University's dean's list in 2020.
I have been a tutor at Varsity tutors since November of 2023 and have primarily tutored middle and high school students. The subjects I tutor involve pre-algebra, algebra, algebra 2, geometry, trigonometry, Pre-calculus and calculus. My tutoring style is more lively and passionate as I am a motivational speaker. My teaching style is more focused on encouragement and getting the bigger picture. Math can be an extremely confusing subject that is hard to understand so it is in my interest to try and the material easier for students so they don't have to feel as nervous and scared. I have worked with different types of students and can adjust my teaching style towards them to make sure that they get the most out of learning. I also have experience working in summer camps with elementary aged students so I am comfortable around being friendly with children as well. My tutoring experience primarily has been 1 on 1 online tutoring where I've helped students with doing their homework as well as studying for the SAT/ACT tests.
