I have a B.S in Genetics and Genomics with a minor in Computer science. I have always been a high achieving student who was a high school valedictorian and graduated undergrad with a 4.0 GPA. Outside of the classroom, I was very productive in my extracurriculars where I received numerous accolades including a Goldwater Scholarship, first author publications, and was nominated by my school for Rhodes/Marshall/Mitchell scholarships.
Currently, I am pursing both an MD and PhD where my focus is on investigating CD8T cells during chronic conditions such as cancer.
As a tutor, I have extensive experience from my time as an undergraduate where I would provide drop-in tutoring for difficult subjects including organic chemistry, physics, and computer science. I am comfortable with MCAT material and my 3 AAMC practice tests and final score ranged between 513 and 521 with a mean of 517. With a trend of increasing score over time.
I also go beyond tutoring by providing mentorship to students. I have helped undergraduates determine how to plan extracurriculars, workshopped their application essays, and successfully helped students prepare for and receive a Goldwater Scholarship.
