I have had an eclectic array of education. I had a double major in college, graduating in 2019 with a B.S. in Geophysical Sciences and a B.A. in Biological Sciences. I continued this with my graduate career, graduating with an M.S. in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota in 2022. I am therefore well-equipped to teach all manner of science. I also received education in math, but am not so certain about much above single-variable calculus.
Although not so apparent from my education, I also have an appreciation for the language arts in general, and grammar and linguistics in particular. On a professional level, this has been helped by my career of writing white papers for startups. As an amateur, I have also written Wikipedia articles, several of which have made it to the main page.
I have served as an online tutor for TutorMe since September. I have learned that I work best with students who already have at least some background context and just need a gentle nudge, rather than needing to be retaught the whole course or otherwise lacking in critical thinking skills. For largely the same reason, I've largely desired working with high schoolers and adults.
