Hi! I’m Kelsey, a certified elementary educator and Montessori guide with 7 years of experience working with students ages 6–14 in both traditional and Montessori settings.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from DePaul University, an ESL endorsement, and MACTE-accredited Montessori certifications for Elementary I and II (ages 6–12).
I specialize in:
☆ Mathematics
☆ Reading comprehension & writing support
☆ ESL/English language learning
☆ Executive functioning & independent learning skills
☆ Neurodivergent-friendly and hands-on learning support
I currently teach at Intercultural Montessori Language School, where I guide upper elementary students through interdisciplinary learning that builds confidence, critical thinking, and strong academic foundations.
My teaching approach is patient, engaging, and individualized. I especially enjoy supporting students who:
☆ feel overwhelmed or behind
☆ struggle with confidence in math
☆ benefit from alternative or hands-on learning approaches
☆ need organizational and study-skills support
During tutoring sessions, I assess learning gaps, tailor instruction to each student’s needs, and focus on building both academic skills and confidence. As a Montessori educator, I believe every child learns differently, and I strive to meet students where they are while helping them grow into independent, motivated learners.
I’d love to support your child’s learning journey!
