Hi, I'm Allison! I graduated from Boston College in 2021 with a B.S. in Biology and from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2025 with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I've tutored students ages 6-19 in Biology, Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, English, test prep, reading, and essay writing.

I believe every student learns differently, so I start by getting to know how each student thinks and what approaches work best for them. From there, I build sessions around their individual needs – introducing concepts in an accessible way, working through problems together, and giving students time to practice independently before we move on. One of my favorite moments is when a student who once said "I'm just not good at math" starts solving problems with real confidence. That shift is what tutoring is all about.

Writing is another area I'm especially passionate about. I've helped students with creative writing, essay writing, research papers, and college essays, always focusing on helping them find their voice and communicate their ideas with clarity and purpose. I also love supporting students through the college and graduate school application process. I applied to 15 undergraduate programs and was accepted to all but one, including my first choice. I was also admitted to my top physical therapy program on my first attempt. Having gone through this process myself, I know firsthand how stressful it can feel, and I particularly enjoy helping students craft personal statements that give admissions committees a genuine sense of who they are beyond their GPA and resume.
