I acquired my BA in Romanian language at the University of Oradea, Romania (1998). Later on I received a bachelor's degree in Spanish followed by a master's degree in Latin American Literature and Studies from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago (2005). I grew up in a family of teachers who instilled in me an innate curiosity about learning. In sixth grade I decided to become a Romanian teacher being inspired by my dedicated, creative, patient, centered and pragmatic Romanian teacher. While attending the courses in my Spanish graduate program, I was fascinated by the volume of knowledge my professors possessed. Their encyclopedic minds and passion for nurturing their students totally captured my interest in becoming one of them.

In my 22 years of experience of teaching I planted multiple seeds of learning in students and adults from different backgrounds and cultures. I am motivated to instill my passion in guiding my students through the paths of lifelong love of learning, dedication, perseverance and self-confidence in expressing themselves in a foreign language. The rewards I've been receiving from the success of my students come in the form of a constant contentment knowing that my subject is being delivered properly, with unique and personalized teaching skills, patience, creativity and great communication. I believe that I am a strong communicator and great listener. Besides, I focus on collaboration and value real-world learning.

I'm addressing a genuine invitation to anyone who struggles with the obstacles of learning a new language, to all who intend to solidify or perfect their communication skills. Being very creative, I make learning fun, trying multiple approaches. I believe in interaction and I motivate my students to learn to enjoy challenges and consider solutions to improve.
