Hi! My name is Francesca, and I graduated from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Nursing. Hi! My name is Francesca, and I graduated from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Nursing. I started college, however, as a bioengineering student because of my love for math and science, but I realized that working as an engineer would not give me the human connection and fulfill my desire to go above and beyond for people so I switched my major to nursing and landed a job in the intensive care unit. Because I do not get to do as much math as I would like to anymore, I did find my love for tutoring on the side. Throughout high school, I always had a group of elementary students that I would tutor year round, so when I left for college, I realized this was a hobby I should keep up. My age groups even expanded at this time to include more high school and college students. In fact, I just finished tutoring a student from Parkland College in Statistics, and I had a blast helping him perform well.
Currently I am focusing on tutoring in the following subjects: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Statistics. Since I have experience tutoring all age groups, I also love helping elementary students as well.
I performed on the state math team all throughout my four years at Fenwick High School, and by doing this, I greatly sharpened my math skills. I even won 2nd in the state as part of the two person oral team where we focused on probability. I then continued to take multiple mathematics and statistics classes at the University of Illinois. I am definitely interested in tutoring any mathematics class that you may need help in, but my favorites are definitely algebra and statistics, which are the two I have the most experience in tutoring.
I encourage anyone who has any further questions about my background, rate, or schedule to message me, and I would love to start tutoring some sessions with you! :)
