My name is Maya and I am currently a senior attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and plan to graduate May 2026 majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology and minoring in Chemistry.
I have always excelled in my core STEM classes and scored a 790 (99%) in the SAT Math section as well as a 131 (99%) in the Chem/Phys section of the MCAT. As someone following a pre-medical track to become a physician, I have personally experienced and helped others in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and physics. I have also tutored grade-school kids for 4 years, mostly in math (including geometry, algebra, and trigonometry). I am also currently an Organic Chemistry II TA working at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I proctor and grade exams, as well as hold office hours for students that need extra help/tutoring. I have been a TA for one semester and plan to graduate with a full year of TA instruction experience. Most of my tutoring sessions have been in person or online and they are mainly one-on one.
For students studying for their classes or for their MCAT and are struggling specifically in the principles of Chemistry and Physics can find me here! I am available to tutor online (via Zoom) due to my location changing frequently, but I am available for online tutoring 1-2x a week for as long as you need.
