I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a strong academic foundation in physics, mathematics, and thermal-fluid sciences. I hold both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering, and throughout my academic journey, I’ve consistently excelled in STEM subjects, which has allowed me to confidently support students in areas such as calculus, physics, algebra, and introductory engineering topics. My education also involved research and real-world applications, which help me connect complex theoretical concepts to practical examples that students can better understand and relate to.

I’ve been tutoring and teaching students for over six years in both formal and informal settings. At the University of Illinois, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for several undergraduate courses, leading discussion sections, holding office hours, and supporting students one-on-one. I’ve also volunteered as a mentor and tutor for high school students, helping them prepare for college-level math and science coursework. My teaching approach is student-centered and adaptive; I believe in breaking down complex concepts into digestible steps, encouraging questions, and fostering a growth mindset. I’ve worked with a wide age range, from middle school to college students, and tailor my explanations and problem-solving strategies to each student’s learning style and pace.

This combination of academic training, teaching experience, and a deep passion for education makes me confident in my ability to tutor students effectively in math, physics, and engineering fundamentals. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence and curiosity in learning.
