Hi! I’m Oishee. I’m a rising junior at UIUC studying Materials Science & Engineering with a minor in Business. I’ve been tutoring for the past few years and have worked with 20+ students, many of them long-term.
I’ve worked with a range of students, from middle schoolers building up their math foundations to high school students studying for the SAT or trying to get through chemistry and physics. I’ve also taught in other roles like coaching, summer camps, and dance, so I’m pretty used to adjusting how I explain things depending on the student.
When I tutor, I try to meet students where they’re at and build from there. Some students need things broken down step by step, some need concepts explained a few different ways, and some just need someone patient who makes it feel okay to ask questions. A big focus for me is helping students feel more confident, because once that clicks, everything else usually follows.
One of my favorite experiences was helping a student relearn a full year of math in about a month so they could avoid summer school. We kept things consistent, filled in the gaps, and it worked out really well.
If you’re looking for regular support, test prep, or just a way to get ahead over the summer, I’d be happy to help.
