Perfect SAT Score, Test Prep Expert, Competition Math Veteran

Andrey V.

Hi! I’m Andrey, an experienced teacher and test-taking expert. I have more than 5 years of teaching experience mainly focused on one-on-one tutoring. I help students prepare for the SAT/PSAT tests, as well as the AMC/AIME math competitions.

As for my technical qualifications, I received a perfect score of 1600 on the SAT and a perfect score of 1520 on the PSAT, qualifying as a National Merit Scholar. I participated in math competitions for more than six years, qualifying for the AMC Honor Roll and AIME three years in a row. From my own experience, I know the most up-to-date topics and test-taking tips you need to score high on these tests. I always customize the topics and tips I teach to each student, in order to maximize learning and score high on test day.

My key teaching philosophy is making sure students understand the connections between the topics they learn. I find that this helps students be more confident on tricky tests and less reliant on blind memorization. I am always patient and willing to teach topics in different ways to help my students clearly understand key ideas.
