Hi! I'm Rayyan, an incoming M1 with a passion for teaching and test taking. With top scores on the MCAT, ACT, and SAT, nearly completed degrees in Biochemistry and Physics at UIUC, and 7+ years of tutoring experience (including 4 with a professional test prep company), I'm here to help YOU achieve your goals and improve your scores by teaching content thoroughly in sessions tailored specifically to your needs.
No matter which section or course you're prepping for, my flexible tutoring style can create meaningful improvement. I've worked with students 1:1 and in groups from middle school to graduate courses for 1000+ hours, and have seen growth across the board. I build realistic and actionable study schedules for my students within one session, which has helped one improve from the 60th to the 99th overall ACT percentile over the course of weekly meetings and steady progress for 3 months.
My approach to tutoring stems from my own experience with these exams, as my 523 on the MCAT (99th percentile) and 99th percentile scores on the ACT and SAT were a result of learning through trial and error. I learned both the content and test-taking strategies through practice questions, which helped me score in the top percentile across the board. CARS was the section where I had the most personal growth, scoring from the 50th percentile to consistently in the 99th on FLs and eventually my official exam. My journey continues to show me that any student has the capacity to improve; they just need the right guidance!
That's why my sessions focus on pinpointing the specific areas holding students back and working on skills that make sense for your timeline - whether that's reviewing content, working through passages, improving timing, analyzing missed questions, or even addressing test-day nerves. Beyond an individual test, I aim for my students to walk away with the confidence and skills to continue studying efficiently and independently.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, and I look forward to meeting
