I am currently a junior studying biochemistry on the pre-medical track at Saint Louis University with a 4.0 GPA and a strong academic foundation in the sciences and a passion for mentorship and education. Through my coursework and healthcare experiences, I have developed strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills that help me effectively support students in their learning. While I do not hold formal teaching certifications, I have extensive experience working with students in both academic and mentorship settings. I have successfully received acceptance into SLU's School of Medicine and will be attending in 2027.
My teaching and tutoring experience comes from a variety of leadership, volunteer, and educational roles. I have worked closely with elementary and middle school students through educational programming, writing workshops, mentorship activities, and interactive learning events over the past 3 years. I have experience teaching in group settings as well as one-on-one environments, adapting my approach based on each student’s learning style and confidence level.
In addition, I work within the pre-health office at Saint Louis University, where I help mentor and prepare pre-medical students by providing academic guidance, resources, and encouragement. My teaching style focuses on patience, engagement, and building understanding rather than memorization. For the past 2 years of working there, I aimed to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
Overall, my experience spans volunteer education programs, peer mentorship, healthcare-related communication, and leadership-based teaching opportunities with students ranging from elementary school children to college students.
