Elementary (K-6th)

I am experienced in substitute teaching in Illinois and Missouri in Pre K through 12th grade. I just received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Quincy University in May 2014. I am a certified teacher with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education (K-9). I finished my student teaching in a parochial school in 1st grade and in a public school in 6th grade. I am also a mother of an 11-year-old son and help him with his homework as well.

Handwriting

I have a Master of Science in Elementary Education. I have student taught in first grade where it is very important to build on writing skills. After reading it is important to have the student doing a writing activity even if it is writing in a journal and drawing a picture. I have experience in this type of handwriting as well as with using correct punctuation when writing. Also illustrating while writing. I also have experience in helping the student learn to write an appropriate letter of the alphabet.

Phonics

I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have phonics experience in Haggerty phonics. Also working with different blends, etc. to make words. I have experience in both my clinical and student teaching with working with games and activities with students to work on phonics and guided reading in learning to read.

Study Skills

I am a recent graduate student in Elementary Education. I have substitute teaching experience in pre K through 12 and at a career and technical center. I have developed excellent study skills to pass my tests to be an educator. As well as I help my son study for tests.
