I am a passionate and experienced high school mathematics educator with a strong academic foundation and a proven track record of student success. I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Purdue University, where I cultivated a deep understanding of both theoretical and applied mathematics that continues to shape my teaching philosophy and methods.
Over the past six years, I have taught mathematics to students in grades 9 through 12 at a private high school, delivering dynamic and engaging in-person instruction. My expertise spans a broad range of advanced courses, including AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Statistics, AP Precalculus, IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (SL and HL), and IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (SL and HL). I take pride in guiding students through these rigorous curricula, helping them develop strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills while fostering a genuine appreciation for mathematics. Many of my students have achieved scores of 5 on their AP exams, and 6 or 7's in IB math score.
My teaching style is interactive and methodical, emphasizing clear, step-by-step explanations. I enjoy providing historical and conceptual context for formulas and theories, which helps make abstract ideas more accessible and relatable. I actively encourage students to explore innovative approaches to problems, promoting creativity and independent critical thinking.
