Hello! My name is Lauren, and I love teaching English to speakers of other languages. I have two degrees in Teaching English as a Second Language, and am currently a teacher at College of DuPage and World Relief in Aurora. I love meeting new students and learning about their needs. I have taught in El Salvador and Uganda, so I know that living in a new country can be very difficult, and I enjoy helping people on their journey.

I want to help you communicate and meet your goals in the English language. As a teacher and tutor trainer, I have many resources for every level of English to help you succeed. I have taught students who have never been to school before, and students who have advanced degrees in their own country, and I love working with every level. Thank you for your consideration!

Reading, writing, speaking and listening can be difficult to master in English. As a global language, it is important for students to be able to communicate clearly and easily. Ever since I was in school, I've loved studying English in all its facets. My father is a newspaper editor, and we would stay up late together reading books and editing my papers for school. He helped me realize the beauty of language and being able to communicate effectively. With my years of experience as a classroom teacher and tutor trainer, I find working with tutoring students fun and very rewarding. We all desire a patient, kind, and fun teacher when we're learning something new, and I'm excited to meet that need.
