Academically, I scored a 1580 on the SAT with a perfect 800 in Math, while deconstructing how the test worked, and I studied Physics at UCLA.
I started tutoring reading and writing before college and continued developing my teaching approach through years of one-on-one work with high schoolers preparing for the SAT and AP coursework. I focus on building real understanding, diagnosing root problems in math reasoning and evidence-based reading rather than drilling surface-level tricks, and helping students reframe problems to play to their strengths. From studying at UCLA and trying a lot of strategies myself, I have a lot of experience with students who are stressed, stretched thin, or struggling to perform the way they know they can.
Outside the classroom growing up, I spent a decade battling insomnia while navigating a high-pressure, Indian household where academic expectations were intense and relentless. That experience led me to spend years studying focus, energy, and performance, not just academically, but as a health and performance consultant working with clients dealing with anxiety, ADHD, chronic fatigue, and other challenges that make "just study harder" useless advice. I bring that lens to my tutoring. I help students figure out why they're stuck, whether that's a gap in reasoning, a focus issue, lack of foundational habits, an inability to brand themselves or communicate, or test-day nerves. I can help them change their approach to learning itself to ensure they get the best outcome.
I know what it's like to study through brain fog, to manage parental pressure alongside test prep, and to feel like your body is working against you when the stakes are highest. I've been there, and I can help students navigating ADHD, insomnia, social media addictions and the pressure of modern college admissions: SAT scores, applications, personal branding, and learning to write essays that actually sound like them.
