Hi, I'm Sidney! I graduated in 2019 with my Bachelor's in elementary education with endorsements in reading and special education. In 2020 I earned my Master's in education. Then, in 2023 I earned my Master's in educational leadership.
I have spent the last six years as a special education teacher. I have taught high school self contained reading and writing. This class included students in grades 9-12. I also spent a semester teaching middle school and high school self contained math. Following this, I spent two years as a resource teacher teaching students in grades 1-5. During one of these years, I also co-taught 6th grade ELA. I have had a plethora of experiences working with students with disabilities and teaching a wide range of subjects. Although the last few years I have done my teaching in-person, my teaching career was just getting started during the COVID pandemic in which teaching quickly transitioned to an online platform. Therefore, I have had lots of experience teaching both in person and online.
Recently, I took an administrative position at a therapeutic day school, primarily working with students with autism and behavioral challenges. I am so excited for this opportunity.
During my years in education, I have worked to tutor different students. I love helping students in areas they are struggling and ensuring they are given the resources to be successful. I look forward to working with families to help their children grow. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
