Looking for a specialized, stress-free approach to math or chemistry built on long-term growth? As a former public school special education teacher with 20 years of experience, I provide dedicated, weekly foundational tutoring for students in grades 6-10 and adults. I focus on building real confidence, filling learning gaps, and keeping stress low through steady, consistent partnership.

Experience & Credentials
- B.S. from Northwestern; two Master's degrees in Education from Loyola Chicago.
- Current Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) credentials.
- 11 years at New Trier High School; 7 years at Wilmette Junior High School as a teacher and case manager.

Approach & Methods
My work is research-based, strengths-based, and highly effective for bright learners navigating ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, or math anxiety. For grade-level math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry) and chemistry, I focus on deep conceptual understanding and visual steps. Practical executive function skills are built directly into our academic sessions. I focus strictly on standard-track coursework (no honors/AP).

Partnership Model
I believe meaningful growth is built through trust and consistency—not high-pressure cramming. I specialize in long-term relationships with families to build lasting student independence and self-advocacy.

To maintain an effective environment, I accept students for regular, ongoing weekly schedules. Please note: My practice does not support short-term requests, single-session homework help, or last-minute test cramming.

In-person (Chicago North/Northwest Suburbs) and remote Zoom sessions available. Learn more about me at http://MrRish.zenblue.org
