Hi, I’m William! I’m a professional singer and teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I love working with students at every stage—whether you’re singing for fun, preparing for an audition, or dreaming of a career in the arts.

I’ve been fortunate to build a career as both an opera and musical theatre performer, recently singing with the Glimmerglass Festival and Sarasota Opera. My recent performance credits include the world premiere of Derek Bermel’s The House on Mango Street (Casanova), Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress, and Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George.

In the professional world, I’m proud to be represented by Athlone Artists, a leading management agency for singers. This gives me a close perspective on what the industry is looking for today, and I love sharing that knowledge with students who want to grow as performers themselves.

As a crossover artist, I specialize in both opera and musical theatre, and my background in acting and dance makes me especially equipped to help with stage presence and performance skills.

In lessons, I focus on healthy, reliable technique while encouraging students to explore their own unique sound and style. I want you to leave every lesson feeling more confident, expressive, and inspired. Whether your goal is a professional stage or simply enjoying the act of singing, I’ll meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go.

I’d love to work with you—let’s make some music together!

Piano

Piano

I began studying piano in eighth grade and continued intensive study throughout college with Professor Martha Fischer at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My piano background includes solo and collaborative performance, and I was honored to win the Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in technique, musicality, and performance, which I bring to every lesson. My teaching focuses on building solid technique, developing interpretive skills, and inspiring students to explore the joy of making music.

Voice (Music)

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and have performed extensively in both opera and musical theatre, including with the Glimmerglass Festival and Sarasota Opera. My performance experience includes leading roles, soloist engagements, and collaborations with respected ensembles. Notably, I was a soloist with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra in the world premiere of William Banfield’s Symphony No. 14 and originated a role in the world premiere of Derek Bermel’s The House on Mango Street. I am also a professionally represented singer with Athlone Artists, which keeps me closely connected to today’s performing world. My teaching emphasizes strong, healthy technique and artistic expression, with a focus on helping students prepare for auditions, roles, and long-term growth as performers.
