Northeastern IL University (Accounting)
Thank you for considering me in helping you understand Excel & Microsoft better. I have used Excel since the mid 1990's and I have a solid grasp of most of the functions. I use it heavily in my office job as well. In addition, I have a Microsoft user-level certification in it, i.e., I know how to move around in Excel at a deeper level than most users. In addition I have a user-level certification in Microsoft Word & PowerPoint. I also use Outlook daily for my job as well. Basically I know most of the core Microsoft Suite and can move around in it quite easily and know where to go to perform a function.
In addition to my Microsoft Excel/Office experience, I have a degree in Accounting. I have worked for many corporations both large and small and have assisted departments/organizations to work at a more effective/efficient level.
I don't have professional tutoring or teaching experience; most of it is is just informal in terms of helping co-workers, supervisors, or friends/family when the need arises. The feedback I have received along the way has been very favorable.
Lastly, I am a Christian and trust in God and walk with Him daily.
Thanks again for your consideration and God Bless!
Stanley M. Hello,

Stan was a great teacher and tailored the training to my needs and current knowledge level. He showed me shortcuts and was patient while I took notes.
Stan is not only an expert with the subject of MS Excel, but was very clear and patient with instruction, allowing me to learn hands-on and at my own pace. Very responsive and flexible to accommodate my schedule. Thank you.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have years of work experience in Excel. I have used all versions of Excel since the 95 version up to 2013 version. I have also passed a user level Microsoft certification in it; the version I passed was Excel 2007. I have tested highly at all agencies when given the Excel Normal User & Expert User tests.
I've been using Microsoft Windows for around 20 years in my office/work experience. In my current job, I use Windows 7 Professional operating system and I have used it over 1 year now. I also have personally owned two laptops with Windows. One used Windows 2000 operating system and the other used Windows XP. My third laptop is now an Apple MacBook Pro. I have used this laptop since 2010. So I now am familiar with both Windows and Apple operating systems.
In terms of more detailed Windows experience, I have used Microsoft Windows for the following Business applications: Outlook, Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer. I know how to navigate from the Start button to find the specific application needed at the time. I also know how to navigate the Windows Explorer file menu and find the files that is stored on my computer. I am also very crafty with my keyboard shortcuts and I know how to: toggle between screens, change screen size appearances, cut/paste files, and change settings as needed.
I hope this has given you a taste of my experience level within the Windows operating environment and I would be happy to help you to become more comfortable and confident in what Windows can do for you.
Thank you for considering me and I wish you the very best in your personal and professional goals.
I can write letters, resumes, etc in Word. I have also passed a Microsoft certification in the 2007 version. I know enough to manipulate/edit as necessary and where necessary. Word is user friendly software and the menu is your friend.
