I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and graduated cum laude with 8 years of experience working with individuals who have disabilities or delays. I have worked in a variety of settings like in the school, in home, and in the community. I also have nieces and a nephew that I tutor occasionally. What I am most used to is teaching one on one.
I put myself through college by working as a caregiver for individuals with disabilities. I then worked with children with disabilities in the school and community as a one on one. I assisted teachers in the classroom while I was doing that. I worked as a case manager with infants and toddlers as well as adults with disabilities, helping them find resources and helping them live the life they want to live. I have also worked as a counselor for a non-profit with adults who have disabilities.
I have always been passionate about working with people who have disabilities and want to continue this work as I love it so much. I try to make learning fun, creative, and enjoyable for everyone involved. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my four cats, painting, and playing with my nieces and nephew.
