I have been a secondary Social Science teacher for 25+ years. My entire teaching career has been in California. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Master of Arts Degree in Education. I earned a California Single Subject Clear Credential in Social Science and a CLAD (Cross Cultural Language and Development) Credential from the State of California.
Working with my school district, I assisted in creating and launching the development of a program for High Risk students. I also participated on the district's Bilingual Advisory Committee. I have been a Board Member of the California Scholarship Federation (CSF) and a Board Member of the California Council for Social Studies.
I have worked with students of all ages, including adults in Adult Education classes and GED preparation classes. I hope over the years I have instilled the love of History, etc., in my students and have encouraged them to always search for answers and never stop learning.
Much of my career was spent teaching in Los Angeles County, with its diverse population of students. I taught "sheltered" classes in United States History and World History to students whose first language was other than English. I have also taught ESL classes at the high school and adult school levels.
I love History! For more than 25 years I have been teaching United States History, World History, Geography and Government to Students in 7th to 12th grades.
