I am a committed and experienced educator with a master's degree in education, a bachelor's degree in English with a History minor, and certifications in English, History, and ESL. I graduated from USU Summa Cum Laude and received multiple awards and scholarships at Utah State University and UC Davis. My passion is helping students become their very best selves! I have 7 years of teaching experience in the U.S. and overseas, primarily as a high school English teacher and ACT/SAT test prep coach. I generally teach ages 11-18 but have also tutored and taught adults in classroom and one-to-one situations in paid and volunteer situations in the United States, Russia, and Senegal. I also have several years of experience teaching ESL and have a basic knowledge of Spanish, Russian, and French, though I am not fluent. I am the site coordinator and instructor for the English Language Learner program and Tier 2 coordinator for Positive Behavioral Intervention Systems at my high school currently. I believe in student-centered, project-based education. I enjoy being in the outdoors, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family - especially my husband and our four boys (and their families).
