Hello! My name is Tina M. I have a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology. My tutoring approach is to support the student in improving their academic performance and to foster a love of learning that will help them to continue to grow. I will rely on my knowledge as a psychologist and my experience as a teacher in this approach. In consultation with the student, I will seek to understand where the student is in their current mastery of the subject and what their ultimate goal is. Through achievable intermediary goals, communication, and practice, I will support you in your learning journey. Please do not be afraid to make mistakes. That is how we learn.

I have experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students. I can teach high school and adult learners who are not enrolled at a college. At the university-level, I have taught intro to psychology, social psychology, basic statistics, research methods, child development, and cognitive psychology. When I graduated with my Ph.D., I was awarded the outstanding dissertation award for my university. I can tutor in American Psychological Association writing.
