I have a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Boise State University, and I bring years of hands-on experience mentoring and coaching both in professional and personal settings. Throughout my career, I worked closely with coworkers in one-on-one settings and led numerous team-building meetings, helping people develop practical skills, confidence, and clarity in their work. I have also applied the same approach at home with my son, guiding him through early learning and development, which has deepened my understanding of patience, communication, and adapting to different learning styles.
My tutoring approach is hands-on and interactive. I like to demonstrate a concept or skill while walking students through it step by step, then give them the opportunity to try it themselves. Once completed, we review it together, breaking it down again and reinforcing understanding through repetition and practical examples. I incorporate real-life scenarios and storytelling whenever possible, helping students connect lessons to the world around them, which keeps learning engaging and memorable.
I have worked primarily with adults but also with my young son, and I understand that everyone learns differently. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where questions are welcomed, mistakes are seen as opportunities, and each student feels empowered to grow. I combine professional experience with creativity, patience, and a focus on practical results, helping students not just learn, but develop the confidence and strategies to apply what they have learned in everyday life.
