I am a certified Montessori teacher with 18 years of classroom experience. I have a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and I am a certified 'Science of Reading' interventionist. In addition, I am TESOL/ESL certified.

My passion for teaching stems from my strong educational background and extensive experience in the field. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Education, I went on to pursue a Montessori Certification in Curriculum and Instruction, where I honed my teaching practices and strategies.

With over 18 years of experience in various educational settings, including; preschool, elementary, middle schools, and virtual (online), I have developed a deep understanding of the diverse learning needs of students and have successfully tailored my instructional approach to cater to each student's individual abilities. My experience also includes designing and implementing innovative curriculum, which has consistently led to improved student performance and engagement within the classroom.

I firmly believe in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, where students feel safe to express themselves and are motivated to actively participate in their education.

I specialize in 1-1 reading intervention. My tutoring strategies and implementation follows the 'Science of Reading'. The key components of the Science of Reading are; Phonemic Awareness: The ability to hear, identify, and manipulate individual sounds (phonemes) in spoken words.
Phonics: Understanding the relationship between letters and sounds.
Fluency: The ability to read accurately, quickly, and with expression.
Vocabulary: Understanding the meaning of words in isolation and context.
Comprehension: The ability to understand and extract meaning from written text.
My goal is to help your child become a proficient, confident reader.
