Hello! I'm Nikki, a fourth year medical student at Brown University with years of tutoring experience hoping to help students catch up, get ahead, and succeed in their personal goals. I'm currently on a year off from medical school, living my mountain-living dreams in Idaho and teaching at a local elementary school. I have experience teaching kids from 4th grade to college-level, with a particular inclination toward science, writing, test prep, and study skills.

A peek into my teaching experience:
- I led a science club for 3-4th grade girls through the nonprofit Girlstart for 3 years in college
- I acted as a teaching assistant for a college-level biology laboratory and a science journalism course
- I have private tutored middle and high school students on math and science
- I am my friend's favorite editor for college and graduate school application essays :)
- I am a paid peer tutor at my medical school, helping students in the classes below me with coursework, study skills, and standardized test prep
I scored over the 97th percentile on the MCAT and Step 2 (the scored medical licensing exam), and have collected some integral study skills along the way. Through my medical education, I have studied childhood development and worked with kids of all ages and abilities to adapt to their strengths. Whether you're a parent hoping to expose your child to an extra hour a week of fun and engaging academics or you're a teen deep in college or medical school applications, I encourage you to reach out!
