Hello, my name is Bailey. I graduated from Concordia University Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and later returned to earn my teaching credential. For the past three years, I have taught high school science, primarily focusing on Biology, Environmental Science, and AP Environmental Science.
I am deeply passionate about both biology and environmental science, as I believe they are essential to understanding the world around us and addressing many of today’s global challenges.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with a wide range of class sizes—from 12 to 35 students—and have supported learners with diverse academic backgrounds. I have taught high-achieving AP students as well as those enrolled in introductory science courses who may struggle academically. This breadth of experience has helped me develop a flexible and student-centered teaching approach that meets learners where they are and builds from their strengths.
When tutoring, I begin by identifying areas where students feel confident and areas where they need additional support. I incorporate real-world examples and hands-on materials whenever possible, as students tend to retain information more effectively when they can connect it to their own lives.
My primary goal is to encourage students and help them develop confidence in their academic abilities. I welcome any resources or suggestions from students and parents to support overall success.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a tutoring session. I look forward to working with you!
