Great chess tutor!
My son is preparing for a big chess tournament and we weren't sure where to start with getting help outside of his regular chest class. Griffin was great with doing an assessment and then getting our son set up with filling in holes in his strategy and skill set. Very patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Loving chess with Griffin!
My 7th grader is enjoying chess lessons with Griffin. I can tell that he's learning a lot especially after winning a trophy at a chess tournament this weekend. Thanks Griffin for the quality time you are spending with my son.

Very Friendly and Instructive
Griffin does a great job of explaining general concepts as well as specific openings. It was especially helpful to be told why a position is good or bad. These kinds of things are less obvious than being down a piece. I look forward to continuing lessons and focusing on my areas of improvement.

Great Teacher!
Griffin gave me lots to go off of for our first lesson and gave me ideas on how to get better study habits for the game. Highly recommend!

Patient and friendly tutor
Griffin is very patient and has done a great job explaining the basic strategies and moves to my 8 years old son. I have seen improvement in my child's strategic thinking capabiltiies only after a few classes.

Comfortable and supportive
I had been studying chess on my own for a few months. Within the first few minutes, he taught me three useful things I had not found through other sources. He is able to explain things in a way that is easy to understand and he is enjoyable to interact with.

Great teacher
Gives you good advice and resources on how to improve your game. Good mix of playing games against you versus going over fundamentals. Recommended for students trying to seriously improve.
