I learned early not to be boring. I also learned early that my own enthusiasm for a subject could be the most important factor in engaging students in topics that might otherwise be tough. I’m an honors graduate of the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, but we all know that education doesn’t necessarily make a great teacher.

Expertise and patience...very engaging method of teaching.
Doug took on the task of basically teaching me Illustrator from the ground level and is very patient with a twist of humor to keep the lessons interesting. He is also quite accommodating with lesson scheduling and is very flexible. We started with the basics such as setting up my workspace and providing me with keyboard shortcuts to accommodate my specific needs. We than covered shapes, drawing, duplicate, reflect, group and ungroup, layers, properties, color pallets, pathfinder, image contour cut and text. We have also begun to work on enhancing/recreating poor image files. Thank you, Doug!
