team of STEM tutors at a community college, focusing on improving tutoring
quality and effectiveness through data-driven approaches. This experience
has strengthened my ability to support students at a variety of skill
levels and learning styles.

In addition, I spent two years helping adult learners prepare for the GED
test, emphasizing the development of strong foundational skills in math and
science. I am passionate about making math accessible and enjoyable, and I
believe that fostering creativity and curiosity in students leads to the
best learning outcomes. I have seen firsthand how students who engage
deeply with math gain confidence and perform better.

Whether you are working through college coursework or preparing for the
GED, I am committed to providing clear guidance and support to help you
achieve your goals. I look forward to being part of your learning journey
and helping you build both skills and confidence in math.

Thank you for your help,

Isaac

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have tutored algebra at a college level for 5 years, and completed algebra 1 in high school around 13 years ago. I got ahead in high school math but ended up speeding through the material and not actually learning it. This lead to flunking out of calculus 2 several times. I started relearning the fundamentals of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry in order to become a tutor. Since then my fundamentals are strong and I am in my senior year of an applied math and physics dual major. I want to help people learn the fundamentals well the first time! Especially if they enjoy math and have a desire to continue pursuing it as a study.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have tutored algebra 2 for 5 years at a college level. I am also a math and physics dual major in my senior year, so I am very practiced with algebra techniques.
Calculus

Calculus

I have been working as a calculus tutor for 5 years. I also have attained a physics degree so I have plenty of experience in how calculus can be applied.
Physics

Physics

I’ve tutored at college of western Idaho for 6 years, and been the lead physics tutor for 4 years. I have spent the majority of my time tutoring physics subjects like early mechanics and electricity and magnetism. I also have a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, which allows me to better assist students who are primarily struggling with the math concepts used in their physics course.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I am a mathematics major at BSU in my senior year and have tutored pre algebra for over 5 years.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have 5 years experience as a college tutor of mathematics. I am in my senior year of an applied math and physics dual major.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I have been tutoring trigonometry at the college level for 7 years. Many of the other courses I have taken and tutored involve using trigonometry often. Because of this I can help students see the bigger picture of where trigonometry will be applied.

Excellent tutor!

Isaac was very helpful! He explained motion in AP Physics to me in a clear and easy to understand way. I left the session feeling much more confident than when I arrived.

Susan, 1 lesson with Isaac

Amazing!

Isaac is super patient and helps answer all my questions from calculus to physics. He is super knowledgeable and explains every step of the way.

great teacher

Patient, encouraging and helpful. Sometimes learning subjects and remembering previous coursework can be difficult and discouraging especially in calc2. Isaac made sure to stop at certain points to explain some of the theory to ensure I was grasping the key concepts as well as working problems out step by step which is very helpful because in math a lot of teachers/instructors will skip steps which might be the exact point someone is having a difficult time with.

Zack, 4 lessons with Isaac

Very knowledgeable and patient

Isaac took time to really explain concepts of 1 and 2 dimensional kinematics to me. He met me where I was and made me feel comfortable. Great tutor! Certainly plan to work with him again.
