Hello! My name is Lila (lee-la), and I am here to support you in achieving your academic goals! As a graduate of the College of Western Idaho with an Associate of Science in Chemical Engineering and a current Medical Laboratory Science student at Idaho State University, my passion for science runs deep. For the past three years, I’ve worked as a STEM tutor at CWI, holding over 130 sessions a semester for undergraduate and dual-credit high school students. My background covers more than 40 courses, so I specialize in a wide mix of subjects. Whether you're working through college algebra, tackling Calculus I–III, or diving into advanced sciences like organic chemistry, genetics, and pathophysiology, I've got your back. My ultimate goal is to run my own genetics lab to advance gene therapy, and I love bringing that scientific energy into every concept we break down together.

When it comes to my teaching style, my main focus is translating abstract math and science concepts into clear, digestible pieces that make sense to you, no matter your starting point. Beyond just getting through the immediate coursework, I am deeply committed to helping you build study habits that actually last. Together, we’ll work on active recall techniques and use practical time-management tools—like Pomodoro blocks—to make complex STEM workloads feel way less overwhelming.

Because I want to make sure we're a great fit, I offer a free 15 minute initial consultation meeting so we can map out your specific goals and learning style. To respect everyone's time, I do require a standard cancellation notice prior to our sessions, and I'll always send a friendly email reminder about my policies before our first official lesson. I would absolutely love to be a part of your academic support system and help you build the confidence to excel. Feel free to reach out today to learn more, discuss your coursework, and schedule our first session!

Amazing tutor!!

She is truly amazing!! She went through everything step by step to unsure clear understanding. She focus on the specific areas that I needed help with. She went beyond the normal basic standards, to help me know what to do and get started on my calculus class project. She was flexible with her schedule and even drove to Nampa to meet with me for or sessions!! She is an amazing tutor that was extremely beneficial to me to be able to get through my calculus class.
