I am a high school psychology instructor with over 15 years of classroom teaching experience in the Boise School District. I currently teach Psychology, Psychology 1, Psychology 2, and Advanced Placement Psychology, a college-level course that prepares students to take the AP exam and earn college credit while still in high school. Throughout my career, I have focused on helping students develop strong critical thinking skills, effective study strategies, and a deeper understanding of human behavior.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Secondary Education from Boise State University, as well as three graduate degrees. I earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. I also completed a Master of Science in School Counseling from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. These degrees have given me strong training not only in psychology content but also in instructional design, learning strategies, student motivation, and social-emotional development.

In my classroom, I have worked with students from a wide range of academic backgrounds and learning styles. My teaching focuses on making complex psychological concepts clear, relatable, and memorable. I regularly use real-world examples, case studies, and interactive discussion to help students connect psychology concepts to their everyday lives. I also emphasize test preparation strategies, particularly for AP Psychology students who are preparing for college-level exams.
