I'm a State-Certified teacher of English, EFL, writing, and French who is passionate about helping students find the joy and empowerment in education. I have my undergraduate degrees in Secondary English Education (grades 5-12), and French Teaching (grades K-12), as well as more than 6 years of relevant teaching experience.
I have previous tutoring experience going back to my college years, and years of classroom and small-group teaching experience in the years since. I have experience teaching young children in EFL and reading, Highschoolers in ELA and French, and adults in EFL and literacy.
I truly believe that all students deserve to become confident readers and writers, and that nothing sets a student up for future success more than those skills. My approach to teaching is personal, encouraging, and appropriately rigorous.
